The movie, The Martian, is a Science Fiction movie released in 2015 and directed by Ridley Scott. The actors in this movie are Matt Damon, who acted as Mark Watney, Jessica Chastain (Melissa Lewis), Donald Glover (Rich Purnell), and others. This movie is based on the book The Martian, by Andy Weir. The main character, Mark Watney was doing a manned mission on Mars, but he got left alone because of a fierce storm. While Mark was on Mars, Earth's NASA tried to bring him back. I really like this movie because it makes me imagine what would I do on Mars to survive if I was Mark Watney.
The Martian’s best part is the cinematography. The film and CG were very good. During the movie, it had many space backgrounds, but the CG made me focus on the movie and made me think it’s real. All the other actors were made to think it’s true and focus on the movie, and the music was matched with the scene, too. The story makes me hope Mark Watney gets back to Earth. When I saw this movie for the first time, I was young and I thought it was a true story. I think the message in this movie is there is always a way to live.
I watched this movie many times and this is one of my favorite movies because of the interesting topic, and cinematography. If I was Mark Watney waiting for rescue from Earth on Mars, I think I couldn’t survive like him. He had many problems on Mars, but I think he solved the problem well. I really liked this movie and I would give it a five potato rating. I would recommend it to my friends because I think it would be fun if we watch it together. It’s on Netflix, so you should watch this movie!
