The title of this movie is Your Name (君の名は｡). It was released in Japan on August 26th, 2016, in the United States on April 7th, 2017, and in Korea on January 4th, 2017. The director of this movie is Shinkai Makoto. The main characters are Tachibana Taki (Kamiki Ryunosuke) and Miyamizu Mitsuha (Kamishiraishi Monet). The story is mainly about saving the main character, Mitsuha, from a meteorite crushing Mitsuha’s city. One day, Taki’s and Mitsuha’s bodies switched, and both of them wanted to meet each other. But Taki realized two important things: He found out Mitsuha died 3 years ago when he tried to meet her. He also realized that Mitsuha is living in the past, and she will die because of a meteorite. So, Taki tried to save her life when their bodies switched.
The cinematography in this movie was very beautiful. I think the backgrounds have very beautiful colors. The drawings are high quality, and they show the main character’s emotions very well. I also really like the background music of this movie. It’s lyrics match with the movie, and it makes the movie more interesting. The background music of this movie is really good so some people make a playlist with it. I like the voice acting, too, because it matches with the characters, and I could feel the characters’ feelings by listening to it. I guess this movie’s message is don’t give up.
I really liked this movie because it has beautiful drawings and the story has a twist. Also, the background music of this movie is one of the reasons I like this movie. I recommend listening to the background music sometime. I would give five out of five potatoes. I think you will like it if you like movies with happy endings.
